It is in the silence and the stillness of nature that God is most readily found. Where all there is is the song of the birds, the hush of the wind, the gurgle of a creek. Where you have no control of what goes on around you; you don’t control the wind, you don’t tell the birds where to fly or where the dew drops to lie. Get away from the noise; music, sounds of the city, the roar of all your electronics. Be close to God in the silence of nature, move away from the confines of a four walled “house of God” and experience God in His creation. Absorb the quietness. It is refreshing to the soul. There is not much better than being with no words in the mouth, but with peace and praise in your heart.
